In 2007, Nathan entered an “Ultimate” preliminary, placing second to Trent Carlini. In 2008 he took 1st place at the Elvis Extravaganza Preliminary in Poteet, Texas. Later in 2009 he won 1st place at the "Ultimate" preliminary held by Legends In Concert in Myrtle Beach, SC which took him to the Finals in Memphis, TN where he made the top 10! Later that year he was asked to perform a trial run at Legends and thereafter was asked to sign on for the full year of 2010!
