Dean Vegas is an internationally acclaimed artist and has performed in Australia, Las Vegas, Canada, Indonesia, Bali, and Tonga. Dean also plays the part of Elvis® in the Warner Brothers' movie, "Hollywood on the Gold Coast." He recently finished shooting a television commercial for Rock Building Society and has appeared on numerous TV and radio programs including 92.5 Gold FM on the Gold Coast and 4 KQ in Brisbane. Dean placed 1st in the Professional Category when he competed against almost 100 of America's and Canada's best Elvis® Impersonators in July, 2000, at the Collingwood Elvis® convention in Canada (the World's biggest Elvis® Convention). |

For Dean Vegas, performing as Elvis® has fulfilled a
long-held dream. Dean had watched every movie that Elvis® starred
in by the time he was 12 years old. On his sixteenth birthday, his
family gave him a cassette pack of 100 Elvis® songs. It wasn't long
before he knew all the words and the mannerisms followed instinctively.
"I idolized Elvis®. He had everything - looks, personality, style, charisma, and he could sing, dance and act. He had his own style. He was an innovator. Like John Lennon said, 'Before Elvis®, there was nothing.' I've always agreed with that." |
