Dennis was born in
Chicago in 1957. He was the 3rd of 4 children of 1st generation
Italian-Americans.
While in grade school, Dennis and his brother saw Girl Happy. He remembers being impressed with both the man in the gold coat in the movie and the reactions of the girls in the audience. He was 9 years old - but - the movie had a profound effect on him. Dennis took dramatics class in high school and began to act. After his stage debut, he remembers thinking "I like this!" After high school, Dennis took a job in a factory. He wasn't happy there - but - lacked the ability to figure out what he wanted. Then, one fateful day in August of 1977, Dennis sat in front of a television and heard of Elvis®' death. The King's death forced Dennis to reevaluate his life. He began to buy Elvis® tapes and even started to song along. He resumed his acting, playing the lead in Bye Bye Birdie and several other productions. He began lifting weights, enrolled in college and joined a fraternity. |
| After college,
Dennis became a very successful insurance agent. In 1992, Dennis began
his Elvis® career. He had lost his Mother and needed something to give
his life meaning. He had performed as Elvis® in front of friends and they
urged him to compete in a contest held at the Ramada Inn in South Bend,
Indiana. There Dennis saw seasoned, professional Impersonators and knew
he would work his heart out to be one of them.
Dennis does all the eras of Elvis®' career. His true pitch, wonderful look, and friendly nature make him a favorite wherever he goes. |
