Michael
was born in Washington, DC. He can remember learning Elvis® songs and
mimicking his style as early as the second grade. Michael grew up in
Rockville, MD, and had a small band in high school. He saw Elvis® 3 times in concert, has all of his records, and has seen all of his movies. Michael says, "Everyone has a hero - Elvis® was my hero and I wanted to be like him." |
| After the untimely death
of Elvis® in 1977, Michael was inspired to do his "Memories of Elvis®" show
as a tribute to the King of Rock and Roll. A combination of professional
voice training, tremendous talent, and years of hard work has enabled him
to emerge as one of the finest Tribute Artists in the nation. The
similarity between Elvis® and Michael in voice, mannerisms, and looks is
astounding. Michael's powerful and dynamic voice enabled him to win the "Images of Elvis®" World-Wide Championship in 1988. He continues to thrill Memphis audiences each year as he returns to the contest to entertain. Michael has performed thousands of shows, done TV and radio commercials, produced a 60-minute TV tribute to Elvis®, and has performed with many notables including the Jordanaires. |
