In October of 1995, Terry
was working in a little hair salon in McAlester, Oklahoma. For Halloween,
the employees decided to have a costume contest. His boss suggested that
Terry dress as Elvis®. He agreed and won the contest. Terry was no stranger to Elvis®. His Mother was a huge fan and she would listen to him constantly. As a child, Terry used to pretend to be Elvis® and wiggle and dance to his music. A year later, his wife, Tracey, urged him to perform as Elvis® in a Christmas variety show. It was the first time Terry performed "Blue Christmas." |
| A local newspaper reporter
attended the show and remembered Terry the following August during the
20th anniversary of Elvis®' death. He contacted Terry and did an interview
and took several pictures. The response was incredible! People called the
newspaper to find out how to get in touch with him. His new career was
born! Terry has won contests all over Oklahoma and has made the finals in the "Images of the King." He says that in all his years of acting and being a radio DJ, nothing compares with the excitement when he is playing tribute to the greatest entertainer of them all - Elvis® Presley. |
