David Lomond, born in Honolulu, Hawaii, is Samoan, French, Italian and English. He began his loud and colorful career in the projects of Honolulu. His Mother fondly remembered that he demanded and commanded everyone's attention. David had a love for music of all kinds as a youngster. The local Hawaiian artists influenced him along with his Father's favorite country artists like Hank Williams, Patsy Kline, Marty Robbins, Johnny Cash, and many others. His older brother had a rock 'n roll band that practiced 'Beatles,' Jerry Lee Lewis, James brown, Little Richard & Elvis® tunes in their garage to the delight of neighbors who congregated in the driveway for what they considered a free rock concert almost daily. His Mother's family was also very musical, enjoying traditional Samoan songs, Hawaiian songs and rock 'n roll hits of the 50's & 60's. When the family got together, it was one big musical variety show. |

David and a few friends began performing at parties, in talent shows, and even the 50th State Fair. After graduating from High School, he began working as a tour guide. His visitors found themselves on a musical tour of Hawaii. He also began studying voice and guitar formally at the University of Hawaii, where he excelled at singing. David began working for Pleasant Hawaiian Vacations to perform at their daily orientations. After delighting audiences from all over the world, David fulfilled his dream of becoming a full-time entertainer. He found that Elvis® Presley's music thrilled people no matter where in the world they came from. With his natural ability to sing like the King, David captivated audiences. After only a few years, David was vying for the same gigs as big-name Waikiki entertainers. |
